Job summary
Bell Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a Nurse Manager for the GI Lab/Endoscopy to oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and maintain cost-efficient staffing. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage the unit budget, and partner with physicians to drive service excellence.
The ideal candidate holds a BSN, with preferred master's degree and leadership experience; BLS certification required; this is a full-time role with opportunities to advance and influence nursing
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement is a nursing degree and professional licensure.
- Experience in management and leadership within a hospital setting.
- Strong budgeting, staffing, and performance improvement abilities.
Responsibilities
- Achieve business and organization goals, visions and objectives.
- Administer corrective action to employees not meeting requirements.
- Analyzing, reporting, giving recommendations and developing strategies on how to improve quality and satisfaction.
- Create a unit budget and manage staffing, supplies, travel, equipment, volume, revenue, charges, education, and food.
- Interacting with staff in a positive, professional manner and resolving conflicts.
- Lead in employee selection, career development and training.
- Mentor staff developing into leadership roles.
- Supervise performance and competencies of staff in the department.
