Garrett Regional Medical Center (GRMC) seeks a Manager Nursing for the Family Centered Maternity Suite to lead nursing teams and manage care delivery. The role emphasizes staff development, budgeting, and high-quality patient care within the hospital's mission.

The ideal candidate will have RN licensure, BLS, and at least four years of nursing with management experience to advance clinical excellence and staff engagement.

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in the state of service or multi-state license (eNLC).
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire date.
• Four years nursing experience with at least two years in management.

Responsibilities

• Advises on hiring, retention, interviews, and recruitment of staff.
• Maintains personnel records and supports staff development.
• Develops and implements ongoing educational programs and orientations.
• Provides feedback and conducts performance evaluations.
• Monitors budgets and justifies variances to the Director.
• Assists in annual cost center budget preparation for cost-effective operations.
• Ensures efficient staffing and workflow to optimize productivity and care.
• Communicates with physicians, nurses, and staff to resolve issues promptly.
• Promotes patient satisfaction and unit culture responsive to patients and families.
• Serves as a resource to Quality Improvement teams.
• Participates in staff meetings and trainings to disseminate information.
• Oversees cost containment and monitors expenses and HR funds.
• Spends funds in line with department budgets.
• Maintains communication with Medical Staff and other departments.
• Performs daily rounds addressing patient/family satisfaction issues.
• Ensures adherence to WVU Medicine standards and accrediting bodies.
• Facilitates professional development and ongoing staff education.
• Plans and evaluates delivery of nursing care per Standards of Practice.
