Job summary

Qualifications

• Leading nursing care in maternity and newborn units.
• Managing staff recruitment, interviewing and selection.
• Overseeing performance improvement and CQI activities.
• Participating in budgeting and policy interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care coordination to meet patient needs and follow hospital policy.
• Recruit and select staff for Maternal Child Health Department.
• Lead staff through ongoing professional development and training.
• Conduct regular staff evaluations and ensure patient and staff safety.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing leadership on care plans and policies.
• Provide teaching to patients and families and act as a clinical resource.
