Job summary

Ascension Health in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Nurse Manager for the CVICU to oversee activities, workflow and nursing resources within the unit.

You will ensure regulatory compliance and quality of care, monitor the budget, and lead hiring, training and staff development to achieve high patient and physician satisfaction.

This full‑time day shift role offers professional growth, teamwork and the chance to contribute to a mission‑driven health system.

Qualifications

• RN licensure/certification required.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• 3 years of experience with 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities, workflow and nursing resources for one or more assigned specialty nursing areas.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s).
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s).
• Develop and maintain quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).
• Monitor and adhere to budget. Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
• Ensure a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction.
• Conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross Accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulativeleadership experience required.
