Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville seeks a Nurse Manager to provide leadership in the development of professional nursing practice within the Department of Nursing and Patient Services. You will oversee administrative support and structure for delivery of care, drive strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and revision of systems that support professional practice and nursing's vision.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required.
• MSN must be obtained by December 2012 or as contracted by the VP/AVP.
• National nursing board certification in specialty area required.
• Current staff without professional nursing board certification in specialty area must obtain certification as contracted by the VP/AVP.
• Minimum of five years professional nursing practice experience required.
• Demonstrates leadership and management skills with knowledge and application of CQI processes, nursing care delivery models, health care delivery systems, and budgetary process.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the development of professional nursing practice by providing administrative support and structure for the delivery of professional nursing care.
