Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Manager of Case Management to lead hospital-based case management, ensuring patient-centered care and efficient resource use. You will oversee staff, ensure InterQual competency, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to drive quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Tennessee or a compact state.
• 3 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• 2 years of related leadership experience preferred.
• InterQual experience preferred.
• Certification in Case Management preferred.
• Certification in InterQual or IQCI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a role model and clinical resource for staff.
• Supervise and facilitate staff development and oversee day-to-day tasks in the department.
• Ensure staff competency in using InterQual to progress the plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team for timely patient management.
• Monitor quality of CM interactions with patients, families, physicians, and the care team.
• Audit case managers’ documentation for quality.
• Participate in clinical performance improvement activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and care team members.
• Cover department education and competencies; schedule and staffing responsibilities.
• Complete regular reports to the Director of Case Management.
• Seek ways to control costs without compromising patient safety or care quality.
• Adhere to policy, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and values; consider cultural needs in care.
