Hudson Hospital seeks a Nurse Manager for our Birth Center to lead labor/delivery, postpartum, newborn care and lactation services.

You will partner with a collaborative team to deliver clinically excellent care, advance strategic plans, and ensure 24-hour coverage.

This role requires a BSN, at least 3 years in labor and delivery, and Wisconsin RN licensure with BLS.

Qualifications

  • BSN required.
  • Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
  • Wisconsin RN license required.
  • Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Birth Center operations including labor/delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, enhanced care nursery and outpatient lactation.
  • Provide 24/7 leadership for the Birth Center and ensure continuous patient care and staff coverage.
  • Develop strategic and operational plans for the Birth Center.
  • Direct all aspects of patient care to meet organizational mission and policies.

We are seeking a strategic, proactive, and optimistic leader to work with an incredible team of patient care staff who have a passion for caring for others.

The manager role is responsible for the oversite and leadership of the Hudson Birth Center, including labor/delivery, post-partum, newborn nursery, enhanced care nursery and outpatient lactation. This includes the provision of patient center care that continually strives to achieve Triple Aim goals. The Manager participates in developing strategic and operational plans for the Birth Center, assumes the managing responsibilities for the 24-hour needs of the birth center, and directs all aspects of patient care and services to assure that the organization mission, vision, values, strategic plan and policies and procedures are consistently met.

Work Schedule

1.0 (40 hours/week). Mon-Fri, primarily days.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, BSN or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of recent clinical experience in labor and delivery Nursing.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification
  • Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Current BLS certification required (must be through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledgeable about and monitors healthcare trends and happenings in community, state, region, and nation.
Preferred Qualifications

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • MSN Preferred
  • Previous leadership experience
