Job summary

Canyon Creek Behavioral Health, a Canyon Creek Behavioral Health unit of Universal Health Services, seeks a Nurse Manager to oversee delivery of patient care in alignment with standards, policies, and hospital goals. The role includes supervising RN and MHT staff, evaluating training, and participating in treatment team meetings.

The position requires a Texas RN license, 5+ years of progressive nursing leadership, and experience with staff education and 24-hour staffing.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing; Bachelor degree preferred.
• Current Texas State Board of Nursing license or Compact State RN license.
• Minimum of 5 years progressive nursing leadership experience.
• Experience in staff education and 24-hour shift staffing patterns.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff deliver care per Standards of Care and Practice.
• Develop staffing schedules for full-time staff based on patient needs.
• Supervise nursing staff and conduct disciplinary actions when indicated.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and visitors in a courteous, timely manner.
