Job summary

Canyon Creek Behavioral Health, part of Universal Health Services in Temple, TX, seeks a Staffing Coordinator to keep all hospital units fully staffed and patient care ready. You will manage the Shift Wizard scheduling system, adjust staffing based on census and leaves, and report to the Chief Nursing Officer as a key member of Nursing Management.

Requirements include a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), two years in hospital staffing/scheduling, a valid driver’s license, and CPR/Handle

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Two years of hospital staffing/scheduling experience preferred; health care setting experience recommended.
• Valid driver’s license in the applicable state.
• Handle with Care Training, CPR certification, and Service Excellence Training required; to be completed during new hire orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily staffing of RNs, LVNs and MHTs.
• Maintain business rules, administer shifts and approve shift assignments in the nurse scheduling software.
• Communicate with CEO, CFO, CNO and nurse supervisors regarding floor orientation scheduling for newly hired employees in the nursing department.
