Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager for the TGH Surgery Center at Morsani to lead day-to-day clinical operations across OR, Endoscopy, PAT, PACU and SPD. You will oversee scheduling, staff performance, training, regulatory readiness and quality initiatives to ensure efficiency and safety.

The role requires five years OR experience with leadership experience and a nursing degree or equivalent experience. On-site position with a strong focus on team engagement and provider relations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of AHCA, DOH, CDC, APIC, CMS, NFPA-99, AAMI and AAAHC regulatory requirements.
• Oversight of annual CMS quality measures for reporting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, physicians, vendors and care givers.
• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
• Provide direction to others that is clear and concise and promotes efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to operating and clinical policies/procedures.
• Monitor daily staffing of clinical employees and assignments.
• Manages the surgical and procedural schedule to ensure operational efficiencies.
• Coordination of operating room schedule with business office and anesthesia.
• Complete performance evaluations of all clinical employees.
• Coordination of new hire training and orientation.
• Maintenance of regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness.
• Coordination of supply chain efforts with Administrator.
• Staff Education & In-Services.
• Provides patient care as needed.
• Monitor/review performance evaluations of all employees.
