Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Clinical Nurse for the TGH Surgery Center at Morsani in Tampa. The role includes delivering high-quality nursing care under supervision, planning and implementing care plans, documenting assessments, and ensuring patient rights are observed.

Requirements include FL RN license, BSN or ASN with >1 year experience, at least 1 year in the OR, and BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred. Ambulatory/outpatient OR experience and ED/ICU exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• BSN or ASN with greater than one year experience required.
• 1 year of Operating Room experience required.
• Ambulatory/Outpatient Surgery Center experience preferred.
• Previous experience in an Emergency Department or ICU preferred.
• BLS & ACLS required.
• PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care to patients under general supervision and following established policies and guidelines.
• Plans and implements nursing care; documents nursing assessments; identifies and reports situations requiring intervention; formulates and communicates goal-directed plan of care.
