Job summary

The Emily Program seeks a Nurse Manager to lead a team of nurses and support staff, resolve clinical and administrative issues, provide feedback on performance, and deliver direct clinical care to clients when needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Licensed RN in Washington State (interstate compacts may apply).
• Must have leadership/management experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor nursing staff and ensure quality of care.
• Converse on performance with direct reports and develop staff plans.
• Ensure proper training of new nurses.
• Lead lead nurses on managerial tasks.
• Collaborate with Site Leadership on staffing and coverage.
• Assist providers with examinations, tests, procedures, and care.
• Coordinate care between patient, physician, staff and external agencies.
• Provide behavioral support and crisis management.
• Support milieu management with site leadership.
• Fill staffing gaps as needed and support floor coverage.

Position Overview

The Nurse Manager provides leadership for a team of nurses and nurse support staff. This includes establishing a professional relationship, helping to resolve clinical and administrative issues as they arise, giving feedback on performance and facilitating an atmosphere in which excellence in client care is provided. The Nurse Manager also provides clinical care to clients.

Compensation Range:

• Nurse Manager Starting Salary Range: $101,860 - $125,000

Final compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for position.

Schedule

• Full Time, 1.0 FTE (40hrs/wk), working Monday through Friday approximately 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Flexibility to provide coverage to any shift if/when needed
  • On call & Holiday rotations with site leadership

How Nurse Managers Empower Recovery

• Coach and mentor nursing staff at the site and ensure accuracy and quality of care are provided
• Have performance conversations with direct reports and assist in the creation of appropriate development plans for staff as needed
• Ensure proper training of all new nurses
• Train Lead Nurses on managerial responsibilities and tasks
• Collaborate with the Site Leadership on daily nursing staffing issues and unfilled shifts and site needs
• Assist medical and psychiatric providers with information regarding examinations, tests, procedures, and care
• Provide care coordination between patient and the physician, staff, family, and outside care agencies as needed
• Provide behavioral support and crisis prevention and management
• Collaborate with site leadership regarding milieu management
• Capability to work in staffing as needed (may provide extra support for the scheduled team and/or be asked to work the floor during staffing gaps)
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Site/Executive Director

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program

Professional Qualifications

• Licensed as an RN in Washington State (can include interstate compact agreements)
• Must have leadership and/or management experience

Other Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive required.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire required
• Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit within 30 days of hire required
