Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all nursing personnel operations to foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • Actively participate in treatment planning with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinicians.
  • Oversee all record-keeping and documentation processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely updates.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic goals for the nursing department.
  • Contribute to budget formulation and resource allocation decisions for staffing, development, equipment, and supplies.
  • Stay current on nursing trends and emerging best practices in healthcare.
  • Establish new policies and update existing ones to enhance patient care standards.
  • Jointly create, execute, and supervise the Infection Control Plan of the facility.
  • Plan and oversee admission, nursing, and patient care processes.
  • Address nursing-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and adherence to physician orders.
  • Oversee and document patient medication self-administration.
  • Arrange appropriate medical attention and follow-up care as needed.
  • Communicate efficiently across departments to align with client treatment goals.
  • Demonstrate crisis intervention and de-escalation skills when needed.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to share progress and collaborate on ongoing care.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and clients.
  • Ensure adherence to all compliance standards and regulations.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff; prepare detailed performance reports.
  • Support and mentor staff to create a positive, inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience)
  • Current RN License
  • BLS Certification (required)
  • CPR and AED Certification
  • Minimum 3-5 years of acute care nursing experience
  • Prior Charge Nurse experience required
  • Minimum 2 years in a similar Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor role
  • Valid driver\'s license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare legal policies and regulations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving aptitude
  • High moral and ethical standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively as an integral part of a team

Preferred Qualifications
  • CPI Certification
  • Prior experience in Addictions Nursing and/or Mental Health Nursing
  • Previous management experience as a Nursing Supervisor or Nurse Manager
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to assist in 1:1 patient transfers
  • Routine mobility including standing, stooping, bending, lifting, walking, and running
