Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System seeks a Nurse Manager to provide clinical and administrative leadership in the inpatient and emergency departments. You will supervise nursing and support staff, coordinate staffing, and participate in policy development with a multidisciplinary team.

This role requires RN licensure (Nebraska or multi-state), ADN with BSN preferred, and 3+ years in ER/critical care or lead roles. BLS, ACLS and PALS are required within the first year.

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska or multi state licensure in a nurse licensure compact state.
• Minimum(3) years of professional nursing experience, preferably with one year in an Emergency Room setting.

Job Purpose & Position Overview

• Serve as a resource to staff, both clinically andadministrativelyin the absence ofdepartmentleadership. Uses situational judgment and critical thinking for the activation of emergency protocols and the notification of administrators when needed

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborateswith a multidisciplinary team to developdepartmental policies and proceduresto include nursing standards of care,treatmentand nursing practices to align withcurrentevidence basedpractice
• TracksQuality Performance Improvement Measures.
• Attends allmonthly departmental meetings.
• Conduct patient satisfactionrounding.
• Responsible for theInpatient andEmergencyDepartmentduring assigned shifts or when otherwise assigned.
• Ensureinformation requested forall patient grievances iscompleted within designatedtime frames.
• Ability to make decisions in matterof significance.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Collaborate with patients, family members, andotherhealthcare professionals.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska or multi state licensure in a nurse licensure compact state.
• Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursingrequired;Bachelorsof Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum(3) years of professional nursing experience, preferably with one (1) year in an Emergency Room setting.
• Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) requiredwithinfirstyearof employment.
• TNCC preferred,training provided.
• Three to four years’ experiencein an Emergency Room,critical care setting, or lead positionpreferred

Physical Requirements:

• Normal to light office work whichincludes the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operatecomputer keyboard, phone, and various office and medical equipment.

• Ability to effectively reading, write, and perform neededcalculations
• Above average social skillsand the ability to interact with all age groups.
• Ability to reason and analyze when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to workswithminimal tonosupervision.

Language Requirements:

• Possess the ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
