Qualifications

• BSN required with RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications.
• At least 5 years of nursing experience with 1+ year as charge/lead nurse.
• Mastery of nursing leadership principles and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess staffing needs within budget and adjust accordingly.
• Prioritize and triage to optimize patient care resources.
• Mentor and coach nursing staff for development.
• Educate staff on policy, equipment, and procedures.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and clinical standards.
• Participate in department/hospital committees and QA activities.
• Maintain professional development through evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate with Clinical Managers to ensure unit productivity.
• Monitor supplies and budget adherence.
• Round on units and verify patient needs are met.
• Coordinate flow of critical care patients to optimize resources.
• Act decisively in emergencies following policies.
• Communicate and enforce policies with staff.
• Allocate resources per budget, benchmarking and ethical care.
