MelroseWakefield Hospital is seeking a Nursing Coordinator to lead and develop nursing staff, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care in coordination with the Clinical Nurse Manager/Director.

The role focuses on mentoring, coaching, education, staffing planning, and adherence to regulatory standards, with responsibilities spanning operational leadership, resource allocation, and committee involvement to support unit productivity and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 5 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in charge/lead role

Responsibilities

• Staffing needs assessment and adjustment within budget.
• Prioritize and triage with nursing staff to optimize resources.
• Mentor and coach nursing staff for professional development.
• Educate staff on policies, procedures, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure regulatory standards and clinical care policies are followed.
• Participate in departmental and hospital committees.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Maintain ongoing professional development related to evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate with Clinical Managers/Directors to ensure unit productivity.
• Assess need to secure additional supplies.
• Round on units and verify patient needs are met.
• Coordinate flow of critical care patients to optimize resources.
• Respond rapidly and per hospital policies in emergencies.
• Communicate and enforce organizational policies and practices.
• Allocate resources according to budgetary expectations and standards
