Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) in the Medical/Surgical unit. You will act as clinical leader in daily operations, oversee quality patient care delivery, and partner with the Nurse Manager to support staff and patients.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN and a NYS RN license, has 3 years of clinical nursing with supervisory experience, and is proficient in EPIC and MS Office.

Qualifications

• BSN required; Masters in health-related field preferred.
• 3 years minimum clinical nursing experience with some Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in a unionized environment preferred.
• EPIC, Microsoft Excel, Windows & Outlook experience strongly preferred.
• NYS RN License required.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice and oversee patient care delivery in the unit.
• Coach and develop staff; ensure high quality patient care in a safe environment.
• Assist in developing clinical staff and support quality and safety initiatives.
• Role models relationship-centered care and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure timely follow-up on patient concerns and service recovery as needed.
