Job summary

Mount Sinai Queens is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for its Medical/Surgical unit. The role oversees clinical leadership, quality patient care, and daily unit operations.

A BSN is required, with a MSN preferred, and at least three years of nursing experience with supervisory exposure. Responsibilities include leading practice using Relationship Centered Care, ensuring PHR integration, and daily patient rounding while collaborating with physicians and ensuring timely follow-up on patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master's in nursing or health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice using the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR).
• Ensure integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care.
• Validate staff round hourly on all patients by direct observation and patient feedback.
• Assess staff competency in PHR and provide feedback.
• Conduct daily patient rounding (Mon-Fri).
• Communicate patient experience data to staff.
• Collaborate with physician dyad and elevate concerns.
• Follow up on patient concerns and provide service recovery.
• Design, support, and lead a safe, therapeutic patient-centered environment.
