Job summary

Baptist Health Princeton Hospital seeks a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) for full-time days in Surgery. This role leads shift operations, ensures high-quality patient care, manages staffing, and supports patient flow with interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements include a BSN, active RN license (AL or NLC), BLS, and 1 year of RN experience (acute care preferred). AACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC certifications may be required based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and registered nurse with active license.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse (AL or NLC).
• BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC certifications may be required based on unit.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience; acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to ensure high-quality care, patient experience, and timely patient flow.
• Manage staffing assignments for oncoming and off-going shifts based on acuity and skills.
• Coordinate patient flow with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners.
• Monitor patient status and collaborate on care plans and safety initiatives.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to nursing staff; support change and problem solving.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN)

RN licensure in Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
