Job summary

Holton Community Hospital in Holton, KS, seeks a Nurse Manager of Acute & ER to lead the Emergency Department and acute nursing services. The role covers operational, clinical, and administrative oversight across ED, inpatient, outpatient, and swing bed services.

The position requires a BSN with 3+ years nursing experience and leadership; KS RN license or compact license; BLS/ACLS on hire; PALS and TNCC within six months. A collaborative, flexible environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required.
• At least one (1) year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Current RN license issued by KS Board of Nursing or valid compact license required.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
• PALS and TNCC required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and oversee the Emergency Department and Acute Nursing services.
• Provide operational, clinical, and administrative oversight for ED, inpatient acute, outpatient, and swing bed services.
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA, CMS Conditions of Participation, and KDHE requirements.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing, physicians, EMS, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow and staff development.
