Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a House Supervisor to provide 24-hour clinical coordination and serve as the on-site nursing leadership representative during off shifts and weekends. The role leads Med/Surg, OB, SCU, ER and OR teams, mentors staff, and ensures continuity of care through shift-by-shift supervision and collaboration with department directors and the Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications

• BSN or higher; graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum two years RN staff nurse experience; Med/Surg/ER/SCU/OB preferred.
• Current unrestricted RN license from the State of Iowa.
• Able to maintain basic nursing competency and interpret telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Provides 24-hour clinical coordination and leadership oversight.
• Mentors and supports nursing staff; fosters teamwork.
• Coordinates patient care and ensures continuity across units.
• Makes staffing decisions and resource allocations shift-by-shift.
• Acts as liaison between nursing, physicians, and leadership.
• Participates in performance evaluation and quality improvement.
• Attends leadership meetings and upholds organizational values.
