Job summary

The Women’s Health Nurse Policy Analyst role at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission focuses on highly advanced policy analysis for Medicaid women’s health benefits. The analyst will plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate policy updates, requiring strong writing and literature review skills.

The position emphasizes independence and collaboration across HHSC divisions, with telework eligibility and a regular daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university, Bachelor's of Nursing degree preferred.
• Master’s degree in public health, health policy, biology, or 4 years' experience in an area that provided equivalent women’s healthcare or clinical experience; Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Experience working as a nurse in obstetric and/or gynecology clinical setting.
• Experience analyzing clinical research and applying findings to work.
• Experience or familiarity with literature reviews of medical research topics.

Responsibilities

• Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule and performs other duties as assigned.
• Conducts clinical literature review, analyzes and synthesizes evidence-based practices for Medicaid women’s health benefits.
• Develops, reviews and comments on Medicaid program materials for vendors, providers, and managed care organizations.
• Leads or participates in workgroups and special projects and communicates with stakeholders.
