The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to join GEO Reentry Services LLC in Casper, WY. You will provide high-level nursing care to inmates, coordinate medication administration, and support physicians during sick calls and minor procedures.

You will maintain accurate progress notes, ensure security during medication dispensing, and uphold confidentiality and accreditation standards while working in a challenging correctional healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an approved program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state the facility is located.
• Maintain license on file at the facility.
• Two years of direct nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to provide crisis intervention and medical/psychiatric care.
• Ability to perform nursing diagnoses and follow through without supervision.

Responsabilités

• Assist physician with sick calls and minor procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications according to formulary.
• Record progress notes and observe patients.
• Monitor symptoms and report problems to management.
• Maintain security while dispensing medications and prevent hoarding/trafficking.
• Dispose of needles/syringes properly.
• Maintain compliance with accreditation policies.
• Document detainee/inmate contacts.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records.
• Coordinate Chronic Disease Clinic scheduling.
