Software Placement Group is recruiting a Nurse House Supervisor for a rural Washington hospital, night shift, on-site, with 50 beds and 3-12 hour shifts. The role oversees hospital operations and admissions during night hours, reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Nursing, an active WA RN license, and 3–5 years in acute care across multiple units, with strong case management knowledge and utilization review expertise.

Responsibilities

• Serve as House Supervisor for a 50-bed rural facility.
• Collect and analyze data on admissions, transfers, and bed availability to improve patient care and utilization.
• Ensure appropriate level of care and bed assignments per criteria.
• Act as liaison among physicians, nursing leadership, unit staff, and care management to ensure operations.
• In absence of the CNO, serve as Administrator on Duty with executive oversight across departments.

Location: Warden, WA | Schedule: Full-time (36 hours), on-site, 3-12hr shifts (7pm-7:30am), rotating weekends | Compensation: $47.00hr-$77.00hr depending on experience, plus $5hr shift differential

Overview

A rural community hospital serving a growing regional population is seeking an experienced Nurse House Supervisor to join its nursing leadership team on nights. The facility, located in a scenic four-season region of central Washington known for its abundant sunshine and outdoor recreation, is a 50 bed acute care hospital that plays a vital role in providing local healthcare services. This role is key to ensuring smooth, efficient hospital operations during night shifts, including administrative oversight when senior leadership is unavailable.

What you'll do

• Serve as House Supervisor for a 50 bed rural healthcare facility.
• Collect and analyze data on patient admissions, transfers, and bed availability across specified clinical areas to improve patient care and maximize bed utilization.
• Ensure patients are admitted to the most appropriate level of care and bed assignment using established admission criteria.
• Act as liaison among physicians, nursing leadership, nursing unit staff, care management staff, and other key stakeholders to ensure efficient hospital operations.
• In the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer, serve as Administrator on Duty, making administrative decisions and providing direction and supervision for operational issues across all hospital departments.
• Reports to the CNO.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing
• Current Washington State Registered Nurse license
• 3 to 5 years of acute care clinical nursing experience
• Experience across a variety of acute care nursing departments
• Advanced knowledge of Case Management and Utilization Review processes, including InterQual criteria and acute-care patient status regulations and guidelines

Preferred qualifications

• Certification in ACLS preferred
• Certification in BLS preferred
• Certification in TNCC preferred
• Certification in PALS preferred

Compensation and benefits

• Hourly range of $47.00hr-$77.00hr depending on experience
