Qualifications

• Current Health Care Provider Certification.

Schedule:7:00am-7:30pm/7:00pm-7:30am; Contingent

About the Department

Our unitis a 24-bed Progressive Care unit that provides nursing students with the opportunity tocare for patients with complex medical needs, while building skills in assessment, telemetry, and progressive nursing care.

Role Overview

As a Nurse Extern, you'll play a vital role in providing patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your contributions will directly support patient safety, comfort, and overall well-being. This role is essential in assisting the nursing team, responding to emergent situations, and ensuring high-quality care while advancing your nursing education.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent OR currently enrolled in the Henry Ford Health Early College Program with completion of two clinical rotations.
• Enrolled in an accredited school of nursing with completion of two clinical rotations, including one in Med/Surg (acute care setting).
• Current Health Care Provider Certification.
