Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a Nurse Extern PRN in Neuro MS. The Nurse Extern provides high-quality patient-centered care under the supervision of an RN and supports the nursing staff in delivering safe, compassionate care.

Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited RN program, maintain BLS certification, and be able to perform higher-level procedures as competencies are achieved. This role includes assisting with ADL and accurate documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification current.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited RN program.
• Can be considered after first nursing semester or CNA in RN program.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN supervision.
• Communicate pertinent information to team.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while respecting patient rights.
• Document patient care information in the EMR.
• Assist with activities of daily living for assigned patients.
