Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking a Nurse Extern PRN to join the nursing team while you progress through your nursing program and gain hands-on experience. You will be supported as you develop skills in patient care and safety.

You’ll assist with ADLs, vital signs, basic nursing tasks, documentation, and communication with the team, under supervision, to build confidence for more advanced responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• CNA certification.
• Enrolled in accredited nursing program.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, support mobility, and ensure patient comfort and hygiene.
• Perform basic nursing tasks as you gain experience under supervision.
• Document care accurately and communicate updates to the nursing team.
