• Current Health Care Provider Certification.

About the Department

Gain valuable inpatient experience on our29-bed, fast-paced post-surgical unit. Nursing students are exposed to orthopedic, spine, general surgery, gynecologic, and medical patients while learning alongside a team of both new and seasoned nursing professionals.

As a Nurse Extern, you'll play a vital role in providing patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your contributions will directly support patient safety, comfort, and overall well-being. This role is essential in assisting the nursing team, responding to emergent situations, and ensuring high-quality care while advancing your nursing education.
