Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited nursing program with two clinical rotations, including one in Med/Surg (acute care).
• Current Health Care Provider Certification.

• Perform patient care duties under RN supervision to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

About the Department

Begin building your nursing experience on the Med/Surg Oncology unit at Henry Ford Rochester Hospital. This unit offers nursing students the opportunity to gain exposure to a Med/Surg Oncology environment while continuing to build your clinical knowledge and prepare for the transition from nursing student to professional nurse.
