Henry Ford Health in Southfield, MI is seeking a Unit Educator, Registered Nurse for the Med Surg Oncology unit. This full-time role supports nursing education, quality improvement, and patient care excellence on a 30-bed unit with oncology focus.

Under the Nurse Manager, you will plan, implement and evaluate educational activities, mentor staff, and help integrate new nursing knowledge into practice while upholding standards of care.

SCHEDULE

Full Time,36 hours per week, Day Shift, Onsite.Full-Time Benefit Eligible.

LOCATION:

Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Equivalent of four years clinical experience with defined patient population preferred.
• Demonstrates interest and ability to teach patients, families and co-workers.
• Demonstrates leadership, good communication skills, problem solving and organisational skills, flexibility, self-directiveness and initiative required.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current Michigan RN licensure required.

The Med-Surg Oncology Unit is a 30-bed unit, with 24 private rooms. Our primary specialty is oncology, with additional expertise in bariatric, gynecological, and colorectal surgery. After six months, nurses have the opportunity to obtain chemotherapy certification.
