Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to assist in individualized patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN. The role emphasizes teamwork and performing designated clinical and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a healthcare program, BLS within one month, and completion of PCA competencies within 3 months. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC or enrolled in a healthcare career program; age 18+ and eligible for Mercy's UAP training.
• Experience: None required.
• Certification: BLS required within one month; PCA competencies within 3 months.
• Physical: Lifts 50 pounds regularly; prolonged standing and walking.
• Preferred Certification: CNA.
