Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center in Florida is seeking a Nurse Extern to support the nursing team under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will perform assigned tasks within your scope of practice to contribute to patient comfort and safety.

The role requires current CNA licensure in Florida (preferred), BLS certification, and progressing through nursing education with continued enrollment demonstrated each semester. Two letters of recommendation are requested to support application.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in accredited nursing program with completion of first semester including fundamentals of nursing course or recent graduate of an accredited program within 6 months.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• Two letters of recommendations from a nursing school instructor, one may be from employer.
• For each subsequent semester, must provide evidence (transcript, grade report) of continued enrollment and progress toward graduation as a nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nurse with assigned tasks within scope of practice.
• Contribute to patient comfort and well-being through basic care activities.
• Support the six dimensions of Relationship Based Care on the unit level: Resources, Teamwork, Care Delivery, Outcomes, Professional Practice, Leadership.
• Participate in the JMC Pathway to support data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
