Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in the state of Florida (preferred).
• Basic Rhythm Strip interpretation exam with a pass score of 80% or higher.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• Two letters of recommendations from a nursing school instructor, one from an employer.
• For each subsequent semester, must provide evidence of continued enrollment and progress toward graduation as a nurse.
• An employee may remain a Nurse Extern for a maximum of two and one-half years.

• Assist Registered Nurse with assigned patient care tasks under supervision.
• Contribute to patient comfort and well-being and monitor patient conditions.
• Support care delivery and participate in rounds and patient care planning.
