Job summary

Broward Health seeks a Nurse Extern to support patient care directly under a Registered Nurse. Candidates should be enrolled in a BSN program, having completed at least three years, or in an Associate Nursing program, having completed one year of nursing curriculum. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, phlebotomy, and EKG duties within a patient-centered framework.

Experience as a clinical Nursing Assistant is preferred. The position offers a chance to gain hands-on nursing experience in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least the third year of a BSN program or one year of an Associate Nursing program.
• One-year clinical experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
