Job summary

Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Arkansas, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Nurse Extern to gain hands-on experience under registered nurse supervision. You’ll rotate through the facility, assist with direct patient care, and build clinical skills in a fast-paced, compassionate environment.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program, have one year or less of schooling remaining, hold BLS, and have completed all hands-on check-offs.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited nursing school.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Needs to have a year or less of school left.
• Have completed all hands on check offs.

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with the patient care team under RN supervision.
• Provides direct patient care as directed by a registered nurse and documents care.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to supervising RN.
• Maintains professional relationships with patients, families, and health care staff.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care as needed.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care and transfers.
