Job summary

Mission Hospital in North Carolina is offering a Nurse Extern opportunity to gain hands-on experience on the nursing team while you progress through your nursing program. You will help deliver safe, compassionate care and learn the full scope of the Registered Nurse role.

Your responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, taking vital signs, wound and catheter care as you grow, documenting care, and communicating updates to the nursing team.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification.
• Enrolled in an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs, check vital signs, support mobility, and ensure comfort and hygiene.
• Perform basic nursing tasks and procedures as you gain experience.
• Document care and communicate timely updates with the nursing team.

Education

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

CNA – Certified Nursing Assistant

Enrolled in accredited nursing program
