The Transition to Practice (TTP) Clinical Educator is a skilled professional who specializes in the clinical learning environment. They support clinical education activities and help enhance nursing and inter-professional staff competency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in nursing is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in an Operating Room setting.
• 2+ years of experience in acute care hospital is preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state(s) where practicing is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 75% in market.

Responsibilities

• Participates and provides lifelong learning.
• Facilitates orientation/onboarding/transition to practice programs to promote employee retention.
• Conducts training to create a positive learning environment.
• Identifies professional development needs of staff in the specialty setting.
• Assists staff to identify areas for growth in their current role.
• Directs staff to career advancement resources.
• Applies adult learning theory to develop educational programs.
• Applies evaluation methodologies (e.g., Kirkpatrick) to refine curricula.
