Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Instructor in Brooklyn to lead orientation for new staff, deliver required courses, and develop education programs aligned with performance needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's and a Master's in Nursing Education, 4–5 years of clinical nursing experience, and NYS RN licensure. The position is full-time with night shifts in the Nursing Education department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Master's Degree in Nursing Education required
• 4-5 years of recent full-time nursing experience
• 2-3 years in Med/Surg, Critical Care, or Emergency Department
• Current RN License in NYS

Responsibilities

• Create spreadsheets, reports, and templates for Site Leadership
• Include age-specific considerations in educational content
• Plan and analyze educational programs
• Provide teaching instructions to new staff and assess competency
• Meet with Director of Nursing Education regarding new hires' competency
• Review attendance sheets, program evaluations, and reports
• Conduct ongoing competency assessments of nursing staff
• Teach education to promote safety and quality
• Review orientation manuals and update as needed
