Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license in good standing.
• BSN required; MSN/MAN preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Nurse Educator or in clinical staff development (long-term care preferred).
• Proven ability to create and deliver engaging education, with strong coaching and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; adept at building rapport across all levels.
• CPR certification required (CPR trainer certification preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver clinical education and training for staff, ensuring compliance with NYSDOH and facility standards
• Assess and enhance staff competencies via coaching, mentoring, audits, and performance evaluations
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices
• Evaluate and improve staff competencies and performance
• Ensure Quality Assurance for all nursing staff and practices
• Offer mentorship and professional development opportunities
• Collaborate with facility leadership to enhance patient care quality
• Lead staff onboarding orientations
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure nursing excellence
• Develop and track staff development programs on topics such as infection control, body mechanics, emergency preparedness and OSHA standards
• Maintain training records, report on program outcomes, and stay current through workshops, publications and professional networks
