Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Nursing Education Faculty member to develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based simulation activities in the Learning/Simulation Lab in coordination with course faculty.
You will participate as a primary instructor or provide technical support, demonstrating nursing skills and using information technologies for teaching. A NJ RN license is required, with Doctorate preferred.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing, or Bachelor's in Nursing with a Master's in Healthcare field.
- Doctorate in Nursing or closely related field (PhD, DNP or EdD) preferred.
- Active New Jersey RN License or approved compact license required.
- Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or CNE Clinical (CNEcl) preferred.
- Certified Health Simulation Educator (CHSE) preferred.
- Minimum two years of acute patient care required.
- Minimum one year of simulation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and evaluates evidence-based activities in the Learning/Simulation Lab with course faculty.
- Instructs or provides technical support to faculty during simulation sessions.
- Demonstrates nursing skills to students and uses technology to support learning.
- Provides tutoring and feedback to students on skill performance.
- Advices on library resources and adheres to professional conduct standards.
