Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Faculty member for the School of Nursing Northern Campus in Elizabeth, NJ. This full-time role focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating evidences-based learning activities in the Simulation Lab, supervising faculty-led sessions, and mentoring nursing students.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nursing (or a Bachelor’s in Nursing with a related master’s), an active NJ RN license, and some experience with simulation.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Nursing or Bachelor’s in Nursing with a related master’s is required.
• Doctorate in Nursing (PhD, DNP or EdD) is preferred.
• Active NJ RN license or approved compact license is required.
• CNE or CNE cl preferred.
• CHSE preferred.
• Minimum two years of acute patient care required.
• Minimum one year of simulation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates simulation-based activities in the Learning/Simulation Lab with course faculty.
• Participates in simulation activities as primary instructor or technical support to faculty.
• Demonstrates nursing skills and techniques to students.
• Uses information technologies to support teaching, including high-fidelity simulators.
• Utilizes critical thinking to communicate observations to appropriate individuals.
• Provides feedback to students on strengths and weaknesses in performance of skills.
• Adheres to professional standards and the Faculty Code of Conduct.
