Job summary

Boro Park Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse Educator in Brooklyn, NY to develop and deliver comprehensive educational programs for nursing staff. You will lead onboarding, competencies, and ongoing training while promoting best practices in infection prevention and safety.

The role requires an NY RN license and at least three years in nursing education or staff development within long-term care, with strong knowledge of regulations and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license.
• Minimum of three years of experience in nursing education, staff development, or clinical training within long-term care or post-acute care.
• Strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities.
• Experience with quality assurance, performance improvement, and competency-based education.
• CPR certification required; instructor certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of infection prevention, employee health, workplace safety, and emergency preparedness.
• Excellent communication, presentation, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
• Demonstrated commitment to staff development, resident care quality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver educational programs for nursing and support staff.
• Facilitate onboarding, orientation, annual competencies, and ongoing in-service training programs.
• Promote best practices related to infection prevention, workplace safety, emergency preparedness, resident care, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, mentoring, and educational support to improve clinical outcomes.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Maintain educational records, competency evaluations, attendance logs, and required training documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and implement effective training solutions.
• Review employee-related incidents and contribute to workplace safety and injury prevention efforts.
• Support employee health initiatives, including required screenings, immunizations, and return-to-work processes as permitted within scope of practice.
• Stay current with healthcare regulations, evidence-based practices, and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance and excellence.
