Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
• Master's degree in nursing education.
• Nursing Education Certification required upon eligibility.
• Ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of outcomes in an organized fashion to address patient/family satisfaction and quality indicators.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills.
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Three to five years of clinical experience in a specialty area, or combination of staff nurse/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a role model and mentor to staff, promoting professional growth.
• Ensures education programs meet accrediting standards (ANCC, State Nurses Association).
• Collaborates with leadership to ensure regulatory compliance in staff education.
