Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or related field.
• Massachusetts RN license required.
• Minimum 5 years RN experience.
• 2 years in nursing professional development, clinical education, or onboarding/orientation.
• Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating competency-based programs.
• Experience onboarding nurses and UAPs in acute care.
• AHA BLS Instructor certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• AHA ACLS Instructor certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Expertise in adult learning principles, curriculum development, and competency assessment.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS, and EHRs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead hospital-wide orientation programs for new hires.
• Develop onboarding plans and design classrooms, simulation, and competency-based learning.
• Collaborate with leaders to individualize orientation and monitor progress.
• Assess educational needs and develop programs using adult-learning principles.
• Serve as educational consultant to nursing leadership and support evidence-based practice.
