The Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) at Yale New Haven Health System facilitates the professional growth of nurses and healthcare personnel along the continuum from novice to expert, based on the Nursing Practice standards.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree or higher; at least one in nursing (BS or MS). Candidates must be enrolled in a Master’s program, completing by 6/1/2027.
Experience: 3-5 years of active nursing, 1 year of relevant teaching preferred, experience in staff development or specialty area preferred.
Licensure: RN license in CT/RI and Nursing Board Certification within 2 years of hire.
Skills: Ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programs.
Physical Demands: Support assigned areas and travel as needed across YNHHS entities.
