An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Nurse Educator to facilitate the professional development of nursing staff. A Wing is a 58-bed Medicare/Medicaid unit caring for residents with clinical issues such as CHF, dehydration, cellulitis, diabetes, DVT, and stable cardiac conditions requiring monitoring. Nurses collaborate with healthcare professionals including doctors, social workers, dieticians, PT/OT, hospice, and spiritual support. This unit offers opportunities for learning, professional growth, and personal satisfaction.
B Wing is a 40-bed Medicare/Medicaid/Dementia unit serving residents with various diagnoses. It is ideal for nursing students to develop organizational skills and experience challenging behaviors. The unit works closely with a multidisciplinary team to discuss residents' care plans.
C Wing is a 58-bed Medicare/Rehabilitation and Skilled unit, suitable for learning basic med-surg, IV therapy, and wound treatments. Nurses work with healthcare professionals to deliver optimal treatment plans. This fast-paced environment motivates PT/OT residents to achieve their goals.
With 2 floors and 4 units, we provide care for long-term residents and post-acute rehab patients. The first floor has 96 beds, and the second has 100 beds. Nurse-patient ratios vary by shift and population. We care for dementia, long-term, and rehab residents, including general, neuro, cardiac, respiratory, and cancer rehab. We offer various resident activity programs.
Using consulting, mentoring, coaching, and interprofessional collaboration, the nurse educator facilitates the professional development of nurses and healthcare personnel from novice to expert roles. They act as change agents, mentors, facilitators, leaders, and partners in clinical practice transitions. Nurse educators must obtain their nursing administration or specialty certification within 12 months of assuming the role or becoming eligible.
