Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education.
• Current RN license in Missouri and Illinois.
• CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months.
• Certified as a CPR instructor.
• Instructor for Missouri Nurse Assistant Training program and CMT instructor certification preferred.
• Completed specialized training in infection prevention and control through accredited continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a corporate-approved orientation program for all employees with emphasis on LTC regulatory issues.
• Conducts general orientation using corporate guidelines incorporating OSHA and Federal and State regulations.
• Coordinates and monitors orientation activities; evaluates orientee and recommends release from orientation based on learning needs.
• Develops and implements ongoing infection prevention and control program; leads infection prevention committee and QAPI activities.
• Promotes staff development culture, mentors managers, and collaborates with DON on training and teamwork.
