Job summary

Bethesda Health Group seeks a Nurse Manager to provide oversight for multiple nursing neighborhoods and support the Director of Nursing. You will act as a resource on administrative programs, policies, and changes, promoting collaboration with physicians and other health care disciplines.

You will analyze problems, lead investigations, coordinate admissions and bed transfers, and ensure infection prevention to maintain safe, compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent preferred.
• Current RN license in the state you will be working.
• Completed training in infection prevention and control.
• 3–4 years of recent nursing experience with administrative/supervisory competency.
• 1 year management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques with assistance.
• Ability to transfer residents weighing 200+ lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Oversight for multiple nursing neighborhoods and support to the Director of Nursing.
• Promote collaboration with physicians and other health care disciplines.
• Investigate incidents, follow up actions, and problem resolution.
• Coordinate admissions and bed transfers with admissions personnel.
• Develop and implement infection prevention and control programs.
• Lead Infection and Prevention Control Committee and participate in QAA.
• Complete required documentation and reporting; participate in care plan meetings.
