Job summary
Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital in St. Paul, MN seeks an experienced nursing educator focusing on infection prevention and control. You will lead ongoing education, coordinate surveillance data, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other agencies.
You will develop in-service programs for clinical and non-clinical staff, train staff on infection prevention, and partner with nursing leadership to drive patient safety and quality care across the facility.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
- Current state RN license and infection control certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develops and leads infection prevention and control programs.
- Coordinates nursing education and in-service training.
- Conducts surveillance data gathering and reporting for infections.
- Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, CMS and other agencies.
- Provides staff education on patient safety and infection control practices.
- Collaborates with nursing leadership to improve quality of care.
