Job summary

St John's Lutheran Community in Minnesota seeks an RN Staff Development/Infection Preventionist to educate staff, oversee competencies, and drive infection prevention programs aligned with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements.

The role combines staff development with infection control oversight, requiring an MN RN license, CPR, and relevant certifications. Expect Monday–Friday hours with some on-call needs and a 32–40 hour workweek at our facility.

Qualifications

• Must hold MN RN license and CPR certification.
• Certified in infection prevention and control or willing to obtain.
• Wound certification or willingness to obtain.
• Prefer 2 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Demonstrate leadership to elevate staff skills and care standards.
• Understand and follow state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Educate staff, oversee competencies and ongoing education.
• Implement and monitor an infection prevention program per clinical standards.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality resident care.
